Terms of sale

Last updated 12 January 2026. These terms apply to every piece sold or commissioned from Aurelune BV.

1. The seller

Pieces are sold by Aurelune BV, a company registered in Belgium, trading as AURELUNE.

2. Quotations

A written quotation is valid for thirty days and states stone, metal, labour and VAT separately. Where a stone has not yet been bought, the quotation says so and the price is subject to the stone actually being available at that specification.

3. Deposits and payment

Commissions require 50 per cent on signature, which funds the stone, and the balance before handover. Made-to-order collection pieces require 30 per cent. Title passes on full payment.

4. Made to order and the right of withdrawal

Pieces made to your size, specification or design are made to order. Under Belgian and EU consumer law the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to a consumer's specification, and it does not apply here. This is stated on every quotation as well as in these terms.

5. Returns of unaltered stock pieces

The four display pieces in the atelier may be returned within fourteen days if unworn and unaltered, for a full refund.

6. Hallmarking and description

Every piece is hallmarked at the Belgian assay office. Invoices state carat, metal, stone weights and treatment status. Where treatment status is unknown, the invoice says unknown.

7. Resizing

One free resize within six months of purchase, up to two sizes either way, where the design allows. Full eternity bands, rivière pieces and hand-engraved bands cannot be resized; this is stated before purchase.

8. Warranty

Two years against defects in manufacture, which covers a setting that fails through our work and does not cover impact damage, wear, or a stone lost after a claw has been visibly damaged. Free cleaning and checking continues for the life of the piece.

9. Valuations

Insurance valuations state replacement cost, not resale value. Resale value for most jewellery is a fraction of retail and we will not imply otherwise.

10. Client property

Stones and pieces left with us are insured while in our possession up to the value agreed in writing when they are handed over. Original settings are always returned.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law; the courts of Antwerp have jurisdiction.
